The man behind the console
Alon Bercovich, from Gan Yavne, Israel, has been running mixers since childhood - mixing for live audiences before finishing school, and never really leaving the console since.
Fifteen-plus years later, his work spans musicals, plays, dance and concerts: The Cameri Theatre, Habima National Theatre, Beit Zvi, Thelma Yellin, national tours and London. He designs light and sound - often both on the same show - and operates what he designs.
Through Bercovich Productions he also delivers full technical operation for shows and events across Israel: planning, equipment, crew and show-calling.
Technology-first, story always
Alon works at the edge of what today's consoles, software and control systems can do - because the newest tool is usually the sharpest one.
Read, listen, sketch. The design starts from the story and the room - never from the gear list.
Plots, patch and programming - engineered on the newest consoles and software the industry offers.
Operation and show-calling with a designer's eye - every night as sharp as opening night.
Light is what you see.
Sound is what you feel.
A show is what you remember.
