Gilad Evron's Jehu is one of Israeli drama's sharpest studies of power - a military commander who seizes the throne by force, and the machinery of ambition, wealth and violence around him. Beit Zvi staged it in February 2020 with the school's third-year actors, directed by Miki Yosef.
The design pierces a Minoan-fresco set with saturated colour: twin red suns over the temple wall, a deep-blue votive wash for the rituals, and warm candle-like states for the quieter conspiracies. One palette for faith, one for blood.
